Today's game started with a minutes applause for Laleham FC Chairman which was followed by a Royals kick off. Starting strong we had a 2nd minute attempt from Kaylan which bounced off the post into the path of Jamie who followed through with the ball whistling just over the bar, a cracking start. The ball makes it way back to Harry who safely knocks it out for a Laleham throw, we are 6 minutes in and quite quickly we are back in possession with a great pass through to Daisy who's close attempt is knocked out by the keeper giving us our first corner of the game.
A brilliant corner by Jamie placing a strong ball in for our forwards to scrap and battle the ball towards goal, keeper saves our attempt knocking it out for Jamie to take another corner which was kicked out for a Laleham goal kick. Callum sprung into action by closing the goalie down and blocking the keepers ball.
With the ball making it's way to Taylor she crosses it towards goal for it to be knocked out for another Royals corner. Another brilliant corner from Jamie places the ball to Daisy who scores her first Royals goal this season in the 10th minute giving us the lead 0 - 1. Two minutes later they break through and their number 10 scores an equaliser 1 - 1.
Kick off for the Royals and the blues get possession again, switching it on the counter attack the reds regain possession allowing daisy to break free with another close attempt. In the 13th minute we had a quick switch around with our subs restarting the match strong and in control Kaylan broke through yet again with a lovely run and scoring a cracker in the 14th minute.
Brining the score to 1 - 2 to the Royals!
After a bit of ping pong in the box the the ball goes behind the line for another reds corner, which was cleared out by the Laleham defence, the ball makes its way to their midfield who plays a brilliant ball to their attacker - and it's a whistle from the ref - offside for Laleham. Royal's are definitely the more dominant team with our defenders solidly making sure no blue gets through by playing them offside and staying strong, Darian plays a safe ball out for a blue's throw (foul throw) now it's the reds turn, which lands right in the blues path allowing their speedy number 10 to break through once more just missing with the ball skimming the outside of the post.
Max get the ball to Tay who goes on a run down the line unfortunately to be robbed by one of the blue players who clears in right into Harry's path. Harry lobs the ball to Jamie's feet, taking it round 2 players he places a perfect cross to Daisy who's strike went straight over the cross bar.
Their goalie takes his kick which falls to Daisy with another attempts on target it rebounds off the keeper, into Jamie who strikes the ball well resulting in another rebound to Kaylan who just misses and it's out for goal kick.
We are battling well through this first half with mud flying everywhere, we still manage to complete lovely passes and play some beautiful football!
Darian goes on a break through passing out wide to Taylor who battles round some of the blue players before a beautiful cross into the path of our attackers but their goal keeper catches it's a great bit of play!
Laleham continue to ping the ball around but it's another offside attempt for them - it's a free kick for the Royals. The ball goes out and Tay takes a quick throw getting the ball to Daisy who bangs in another attempt on goal which was denied by their keeper. As the half time whistle draws closer Taylor crosses another ball into the area but their keeper is there again!
Jamie uses his skills and strength to get the ball down the line to Tay... it's a blue throw. Laleham throw gets knocked out - red throw, quickly Laleham regain possession and switch play, Darian chases it back and clears it safely for a blue throw. Foul throw so it's another Royal's throw, through the midfield the ball finds Kaylan who continues in control and assists himself into a 35min goal for the red 1 - 3.
- HALF TIME -
The second half begins with a Laleham kick off, nice sliding tackle from Shylan with the ball ending out of the pitch and it's a Sandhurst throw, battling and passing across the pitch we carry on in the difficult conditions on a very slippy surface. Harry stays strong in defence, he pushes forward with the ball and it's out again for another red throw. A long throw from Tay to be knocked back out by the blue GK - red throw.
A great through ball from Darian, stopped by their defender and played forward for the blues to break through. Our defence and stand in goalie Max, battle hard and manage to clear the ball to safety resulting in another Laleham throw.
Sya comes in with a brilliant tackle and great skill to regain possession getting the ball to Daisy who plays a beautiful through ball towards Callum, it's intercepted and cleared to their attacking players. Now some great pressing from Tay as the ball finds itself being pushed towards our goal, but we are safe. Max is all over it, it falls back into a blue players path who strikes and just misses with the ball sliding down the outside of the netting.
Goal kick to restart, and we continue playing well. The ball is tackled off our midfield by a blue player and a nice through ball to their forward who strikes and scores but the flag is up - no goal! It's still 1 - 3!
Switching it up we bring Kaylan back on as Jaydon comes off.
Tay's pushing forward with the ball she is near on goal she shoots - it's close but it's a near miss this time. Their goal kick lands nicely to Jamie who plays a lovely through ball to Daisy who turns their players and passes onto Callum who strikes and it rebounds directly to Jamie - strikes, another near miss for the Royals!
The ball isn't out of our possession for long as Harry makes sure his strong pass falls straight to Daisy's feet playing a pass to Callum and it's a GOAL!! (Flags up - disallowed) The score remains 1 - 3 to the reds!
With 2 disallowed goals it's been a great game so far - muddy but great!
Some great play going on, passing and moving into brilliant spaces, working well together! A beautiful bit of playmaking from Jamie and the ball lands in Kaylan's path - it's a one on one Kaylan vs the keeper - The ball goes just wide of the goal.
We are back in possession and more amazing football takes Shylan down towards the corner a gorgeous 1 2 between Shylan and Kaylan allows a lovely cross and its blocked a counter attack for Laleham which is stopped by Max.
Darian clears it for a blue throw. Blue lob saved by Max rebounded to another Laleham attacking player who shoots and it's a blue goal 2 - 3 in the 58th (ish) minute.
We restart with strength and determination, progressing up the pitch into the box with 5 or 6 different players attempting on goal and then ... the ball falls to Shylan who strikes and SCORES!! Goal for the reds 2 - 4 in the 59th minute. The blues restart with kick off and quickly the reds regain possession allowing Kaylan to break through once again, he's forward on goal he strikes the GK punches it out it's back with Kaylan, he strikes ... it's close but it hits the post and falls to Jamie who strikes but it's out for a Royals corner.
With 9 minutes to go Daisy breaks through head on with the blue keeper but its rebounded out to Callum who takes a touch and shoots... GOAL!! 2 - 5 in the 65th minute.
Another goal for Laleham brings the score to 3 - 5 they want it and attack our defence again but we clear it to safety before the final whistle blows!
Another well battled game today with a deserved result - on another day without the rain and mud we could of had many more goals I am sure but we battled and played some very nice football another Sunday that we return to the warm with smiles all round mud n' all!! Well Done today Royals!

Message from the coach:
Kyle Says -
Great game. Awful weather and very muddy and slippery. But the team worked so hard and listened to instruction well. We could have won by more tbh but just wouldn't fall or deflect our way. Great effort from all the team. Very proud.
Last message is a BIG THANKS to max for stepping up in goal. A few of the saves he was forced to make kept us in the game at points. So ?
We play again on Sunday 15th with more details to follow!
